"Oh, listen to Mary Poppins. He's got his crust all stiff and upper with that nancy-boy accent. You Englishmen are always so... Bloody hell. Sodding, blimey, shagging, knickers, bullocks. Oh, god. I'm English.

Lol! Which bad guy is that, nubs? The thing about Musa is that every character could have been the bad guy depending on if you were Chinese or Korean. I guess the REAL bad guy was the Chinese General.
well yeah thats kinda who i meant i must admit if ziyi hadn';t been so damn friggin cute i might have been tempted to just shove her over to them and save my own life haha

Ziyi's best acting is 2046 with Geisha in close second. In third, I would say CTHD :-)
Surprisingly, I like every movie Ziyi did yet. But they are on different levels of appreciation. If "Purple Butterfly" is good, it's far from being Ziyi's best movie, and it wasn't as great as "SuZhou-river" the other Lou Ye movie I have seen.

Well I watched "The Banquet". It was a great film! Ziyi made me melt in my chair, even though she was quite diabolical in her role as Empress Wan. There were a few scenes in which I thought my heart actually stopped for a minute or two. (Bloody Ziyi is so beautiful it should be a crime). But still, House of Flying Daggers remains my favorite ZZ film. HOFD is like Star Wars, you can watch it 150 times and its still great every single time.
Can't wait to see more Ziyi on the big screen!
In the triangle of life, there is oxygen, water, and Ziyi. Take away any one part of the triangle and life ends.
"The Banquet" is a good movie, but it's not just because of Ziyi. Everybody play well their parts, that's why. Ziyi's acting is more impressive in 2046 and Jasmine Women.
"Suzhou River" is Zhou Xun's best movie. You can see her in Dai Sijie's "Balzac and the little chinese seamtress" and in Chen Kaige's "The Emperor and The Assassin" but she only got a small role, she's the blind girl.

Hello Ziyi fans, I've been watching your great site recently as a guest, but when I saw this older thread I just had to register to put in my vote.
I watched 'The Road Home' for the second time last night, and excuse me but I'm still a little emotional. IMO this is the greatest love story ever told, by the most beautiful woman who has ever lived.
Of course I recognize and respect Zhang Yimou and all the others who made this movie what it is, but with out Ziyi, well I just cannot imagine it would be anything close to the same experience.
I love all Her other movies, and would have a hard time judging one against the other. But there is something very special about 'The Road Home'. If you are a Ziyi fan and you have not seen this movie, get it now, you will not be disappointed. And if you can watch it without tears in your eyes, especially the broken bowl scene, I would be very surprised. Don
