You guys might be surprised to know just how many Zhao Di (The Road Home) fans there are out there. Many rank it as their favorite film, not just Ziyi film, of all time. It's a very moving film that you have to see. My favorite film and favorite Ziyi film is CTHD. But I think her best (best and favorite are different imo) film, performance wise, may be between either 2046 and Jasmine Women. I still haven't seen either yet. I'm pretty sure Jasmine Women is Ziyi's favorite performance. I think I read that somewhere...

It was a very recent interview from a legitimate source in which she was quoted as saying something like she appreciate or liked (or something like that) her roles in Jasmine Women after being asked about Crouching Tiger and her other roles. Until I can find it, don't quote me on that though. $:\$

That would have to be CTHD - no question. CTHD is near 4 star; none of the other movies she's been in are even close, despite they might be satisfying on some level. If you are asking about Zi's best performance... can't say for sure, I haven't seen SMMF or 2046. AA = teh pwn!

Loved HOFD as one of her most beautifully photographed and entertaining films. Musa the Warrior is one of the best films she's appeared in IMO. But CTHD is the one that started it all and hooked me on her. Awe heck, I just can't decide.

So for acting I would definitely say CTHD. You guys really seemed to like TRH. I haven't seen that one yet. Also I haven't seen Legend of Zu either, is that one good?

I agree about Ziyi's role in Hero being a bit small I must say but the rest of the cast did a great Job.
