Several months ago I had finished a script about the infamous Wu Zetian, the only woman to rule the Empire of China during the Tang Dynasty. (Coincidently, when I wrote this story I had envisioned Zhang Ziyi as the lead role for this movie.) A few days ago, an article was brought to my attention featuring Zhang Ziyi and another actress being compared in terms of their success and popularity. When both women were questioned about future projects, they each stated an interest to portray this controversial character. So, in my own expressed interest in this project I hope to lead and find Zhang Ziyi to the United States in pursuit of this very venture otherwise disprove any significance to this being coincidence after all.
