It went on to say that the people in charge was also pushing ZZ out! Wish I can remember the site and the actress name -if I can I'll update but in the mean time just wondering what you guys take on it is? I do wish ZZ would make more American movies-I think her career would explode even more...... P.S. wonder what became of Marci

Posts: 41 (07/29/07 18:05:18) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	ziyi is coming out with alot of new american movies that will help bump up her career... i found some at hollywood.com the seven samurai. hua mulan good cook likes music ( they arent sure if she'll star in it... but she has been asked about it.. adam sandler is also in it!) the horsemen mei lanfang the rape on nanking the art of war the hidden kingdom... not all are "sure to goes" but most of them the directors have ask her to look into... but she is going to star in. hua mulan, the horsemen, mei lanfang, and the seven samurai.. the rest are just some the directors told her to check out.. I HOPE SHE DOES EM ALL!

Maybe she can surpass Ziyi in Asia, but they need something that will have the same effect as CTHD. Maybe Liu Yi Fei has some chance because she's so cute and young. Not only Ziyi fans but Disney fans will jump to the front of the lines. The animation 'Mulan' was a lot of fun.... with plenty of pluses like the music, the story; the ending with the emperor giving her honor would be wonderful if included in the Ziyi version .... the entire city bowing to her, etc. yay It's strange how animations often times have great scores, when regular films have so-so music. It's as if animators are more in touch with what makes an interesting film -- that music is one of the main supporting legs. Yet, filmmakers seem to tack on just any music. This is especially evident in adventure period pieces, where the music is so trite. And I have to wish that they had brought in the Mulan music!

Judging by this quote she doesn't seem to want to do too many Hollywood films, also i don't think her star power is fading really as she's in two films this year (TMNT and The Horsemen due to release next month)

Ziyi's standing in Asia is the same as before. She's still in demand for all the big films there. While Ziyi hasn't conquered America yet, she can hardly be said to have gone backwards fame-wise. I think she really just needs one good script and a talented american director who understands her strengths and she'll be away. I always thought she'd be great in a light-hearted Speed style film where she's a high-kicking version of the Sandra Bullock character. As for Europe, I've no doubt she can succeed there the moment she chooses to. Butr the make such pretentious films! So, if anything, I think her stardom is just beginning.

Ziyi is great in historical movie. Thought I doubt she looks like the Huns that invade Europe. Historically, the Huns were some sort people from the central Asian steppes. More likely to be turkish people. But we can try to make look them more asian, so Ziyi would fit a role better :-) Or maybe some mixed Uigurs. Some Uigurs looks half-chinese, half-turk. She's planning to collaborate with Ms. Deng on a film company per helloziyi website. She's a one busy lady. Next year she's gonna take over the entire chinese film industry & movin' on to Hollywood industry & then make herself a CEO of world's famous international film industry. Nah, j/k. Her role as Kirsten in the Horsemen will I think come out this May. I think she just finished Mei lang feng (chinese opera). She's gonna work on or rumored to be in Hua Mulan, Limits of control, Lost for words & I don't know any upcoming film she's rumored to be in. And then 1 special thing going on, she's a spokeperson for the Beijing olympic 2008. She was last seen in Athens about a month ago for the starting ceremony. At this point if I went out and streaked and somebody put it on U-tube I would be more famous than ZZ. Wonder what happened? Was she just a meteor and not a star? Yeah the site is pretty quiet these days. I guess some people wonder thru here from time to time walking the empty halls taking a look around then leave. I pop in occasionally to see what's up, maybe do a little clean up here and there where somebody may have thrown a little trash in a corner somewhere, read a few posts then leave.
