Her face is so expressiv. Just like Ziyi in 2046. Thought her character Bai Ling is a playful person who falls for Tony Leung's character. She's a callgirl. Tang Wei's character has to seduce Tony Leung, but she doesn't love him. Since he was nasty with her in the beginning and she still continue, mainly because she was in love with that guy of the theater troup. She even didnt't want to be an actress. It's because of her friend that all that happen. The end was surprising to me, I didn't expect it to end that way.

I bought the DVD and now I have a clear view.

In the beginning, mister Yee find Wang Zhiji attractiv. But he is too careful and was a little suspicious. So in the beginning, he is violent with her, to see if she really loves him. But she stays. And little by little, he began to open himself to her, until he bought her a diamond he wouldn't have paid to his wife. She now sees that he really loves her. And she felt guilty, because she began to like him too.

And she paid the heavy price. I see it as a sign he still oves her because he doesn't want to torture her. But he couldn't forgive her, mainly because the other were suspicious about himself.

That story was sad. I'm suprise to notice that Tang Wei has a really good english in the making of. I hope she will continue to act !
